Cherry Tree Pool fatal crash: 26-year-old man killed after slamming into tree along Kojonup-Katanning Road

A young driver has been killed after crashing into a tree on a remote stretch of road in the Great Southern. Officers from the major crash unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash along Kojonup-Katanning Road in Cherry Tree Pool, near Kojonup, on Thursday. Police said a 26-year-old man was driving a silver 2006 model Ford Focus sedan when the vehicle veered off the road and slammed into a tree. Sadly, the man died at the scene.
