Upper Great Southern Hockey Association returned with fantastic results from the Bunbury Junior Hockey Carnival earlier this month.

The UGSHA sent five teams to compete in the carnival.

The association was represented by J5/6 girls, J5/6 boys, J7/8 boys, J9/10 girls and J9/10 boys, and all teams did exceptionally well over the weekend.

The 9/10 boys drew their grand final in normal time but won the title in a penalty shootout.

The 5/6 boys also got into the grand final and drew the game.

However, they were declared runners-up on a countback.

In the 5/6 girls and 9/10 girls, UGSHA both finished second in their pools.

After finishing equal first in their pool, the 7/8 boys missed out on the grand final by countback.

UGSHA development officer Rodney Johnson thanked all the parents who encouraged the junior players over the weekend, along with coaches, managers and umpires.
