An outstanding 91 from Wandering opener Lincoln Joy helped his side dish out the first loss of the season to top-of-the-table Pingelly-Noonebin in round 11.

Wandering had lost their past four games coming into last Saturday before Joy guided them to a vital win that helped them jump into second spot.

Pingelly-Noonebin batsman Dylan Kirk posted a superb 111 but it was not enough to help his side record a 10th straight win.

Chasing 210 to win, Joy and fellow opener Carl Garrick put on 84 for the first wicket.

Joy was joined at the crease by Blake Warburton and Joy went on the attack as he whacked 47 of their 64-run partnership. The opening batsmen was nearing the second century in the match but was removed for 91, with his side in control at 3-171. David Parsons (22 not out) and Lewis Parsons (4 not out) guided their side to victory in the 39th over as they finished on 4-210.
