Tragic end to the weekend as Williams crash leaves one person dead

Police have confirmed that one person has died after a crash on Albany Highway today.

It is understood a vehicle rolled and struck trees at the intersection of Westmere Road in Williams about 10.30am.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Albany Highway was closed between Narrakine Road and Carne Road while major crash officers investigated.

The highway was reopened about 6pm.
