Three Federal Government grants to boost infrastructure of regional airports

Three Federal Government grants will be used to boost the infrastructure of regional airports.
Eighty-nine projects are set to benefit across the nation under round two of the Federal Regional Airports Program, which includes grants totalling nearly $30 million.
Two grants have been approved for Narrogin airport and another for Wagin, totalling almost $570,000.
“In Narrogin, $69,554 will be provided for construction of a new asphalt hardstand for Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft parking,” O’Connor MHR Rick Wilson said
“Also at Narrogin, $201,390 will be provided to seal the existing gravel runway. As a wheat and sheep farmer myself, I am acutely aware of the importance of regional airports and their upkeep to country communities.
“Every dollar spent on regional airport infrastructure is a dollar well spent, and I look forward to working with the Narrogin and Wagin communities to deliver this vital funding as we continue to recover from the pandemic.”
