Reinsmen Donald Harper and Mitchell Miller notch winning doubles at Narrogin trots

Drivers Donald Harper and Mitchell Miller shared the spoils at Narrogin with winning doubles respectively on the seven-race program on Friday.

Harper had a race-to-race double early in the program while Miller finished the night on a winning note taking out the final two events.

Sleek and Sweep trained by Tony Allington teamed up in the second race on the program to win by 9.6m.

Harper guided the Peter Anderson-trained Star In Art to a comfortable victory in the fourth race on the night, winning by 16.5m to notch her eighth career victory.

Bettor Be Artful got the nod in a thrilling finish in race six for Miller to break maiden status at start 30 for trainer Simone Strachan, after winning by a half-neck over $1.90 favourite Belonero.

Miller finished the night with a winning double as he partnered the Lang Inwood-trained The Party Boy to victory by 8m to claim his eighth career win.

Captains Cote broke her maiden status in the opening event for trainer Emily Ashcroft and diver Kyle Symington after winning by a neck.

Trainer Graeme Waters and reinsman Hayden Hancock teamed up with My Ultimate Joe to secure victory by 3.7m in race four while $2.40 favourite Captains Beachbabe won race five for Nathan Turvey and reinswoman Madeliene Young by 1.3m.

Narrogin Race and Pace will hold its Community Christmas Races this Saturday with gates opening at noon.
