Filled with an all-female cast to coincide with Women’s History Month, She Is Strong is arriving in Narrogin for a performance at the town hall. A Natural Wings production and collaboration between Dawn Pascoe and Rachael Collier Photography, the show has toured since 2021. Well-known for aerial theatre, She Is Strong combines acrobatics, photography and circus to explore the journeys life will take many women through. Touring through regional WA, She Is Strong never puts on the same show each night. Each show is based on local women’s lives, cultivated through community engagement, making each performance unique. The performance will run during Women’s History Month — March — putting the focus exclusively on women’s lives and the different yet similar hurdles faced in life. The artists share their experiences with mental health, motherhood and injuries while weaving other women’s stories with their own. Pascoe is a WAAPA graduate in theatre arts and has an extensive background in circus and choreography. She regularly performs around the country and in regional areas, bringing her heartfelt performances to rural communities. With a 20-year circus background, Collier combines her passion for circus with photography. Before the performance, viewers are directed through a room filled with Collier’s photography of her own and the artists’ personal lives in order to build an intimate environment between the audience and performers. She Is Strong makes its way to Narrogin Town Hall on March 18. Tickets are available at bit.ly/3IIAI4N.
