Upper Great Southern Cricket Association have returned home from junior country week with mixed results after sending four teams away to the annual week-long competition in Perth.

UGSCA had two teams in each of the under-14s and under-16s divisions, emerging with eight wins from 14 games as a collective.

The under-16 B-section finished third with three wins from six matches.

Ben Woodruff was the highlight of the carnival with scores of 95 and 96 for the second-most runs for the carnival, finishing with 249 runs at an average of 62.

Brock Pockron and Luke Brown both featured in the top 10 wicket takers, claiming 10 and eight respectively.

The under-14 A-section team faced tough competition and were not able to win any of their four games.

Jonty Robinson was the second leading run scorer for the tournament with 233 runs at an average of 58.

Ethan Johnson claimed eight wickets in six matches.

The under-16 C-section finished runners-up in the standings with three wins.

Tyson Cuthbert was second in the leading run scorers with 282 and teammate Mitchell Whillier claimed nine wickets, including best figures of 4-7, to be among the top five wicket takers.

The under-14 C section finished fifth with Rueben Brady top scoring with 83 while Jack Warburton had a breakout week with 10 wickets.
