Four teams from Narrogin Senior High School made the trip to Albany last week to participate in the West Coast Fever High School Netball Cup.

A total of 51 teams from schools between Narrogin, Denmark, Albany and Esperance took part in the event hosted by Netball WA Great Southern.

Narrogin took four girls’ teams to compete in the event, with Narrogin 2 playing in pool A of the lower school girls’ 7/8 competition, while Narrogin 1 played in pool B.

They also had a team in pool A and B of the middle school girls’ 9/10 division.

Narrogin made the final in the year 7/8 girls and year 9/10 girls but unfortunately lost both.

In the year 7/8 final Denmark and Narrogin were still locked together at the end of extra time, resulting in a sudden-death match.

Denmark walked away 15-13 victors after being the first to a two-goal lead.

In the year 9/10 final Denmark defeated Narrogin 16-14.

Games were played on indoor courts at Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre and outdoor playing fields, consisting of two 10-minute halves.

High schools from Katanning, Kojonup, Gnowangerup and Jerramungup were also part of the event.
