Exciting battle for positions in the top four of Upper Great Southern Football League competition

Players will return to the field for round 10 of the Upper Great Southern Football League this weekend headlined by the clash between Kukerin-Dumbleyung and Williams.

The UGSFL was cancelled in round nine earlier this month because of the lockdown in the Perth and Peel regions and there was a bye last weekend due to the Nutrien Ag Country Football Championships that were due to be held in Perth but were also cancelled because of COVID restrictions.

The top four positions appear set with five rounds to play with the third-placed Cats and fourth-placed Cougars four games clear of Wagin and Boddington, who have a mathematical chance of finishing in the top four.

The Cats currently sit in third place on percentage and will host the Cougars on Sunday in a clash that will define their top two chances.

Both sides only sit one win off the top-two sides, Katanning Wanderers and Brookton-Pingelly, and a win in round 10 will all but secure a top-four spot and give them some confidence heading towards the finals.

The Wanderers will host Wagin on Sunday while Brookton-Pingelly will face Boddington at home on Saturday and Narrogin Hawks will travel to Wickepin to face the Warriors on Saturday.
