About 30 kids came together at Williams Oval on April 20 for a massive afternoon of soccer and fun at the Williams Community Resource Centre’s Kick & Groove Day. Organised by Tiffany Prideaux and Williams CRC with support and funding from Propel Youth Arts WA, Live Local Love Local and the Shire of Williams, the day was a hit. “We ended up with 30 thirty kids,” Miss Prideaux said. “This was something a bit different and it’s been really well received.” While a range of soccer activities took place at the Youth Week WA event, it was bubble soccer that stole the show as children ran, bumped, rolled and bounced all afternoon. Narrogin Festival of Soccer organiser Mark Tenney was on hand to provide some coaching and enjoy a bubble bump or two himself. Children from Williams and surrounds came together again later that evening for a Blue Light Disco hosted by Williams Police which brought a fun close to a fun day.
