Belly laughs on the agenda

Laura GrubisaNarrogin Observer

Peter Rowsthorn is coming to town next weekend to perform his first show in Narrogin in a number of years.

Rowsthorn is best known for playing Brett Craig on Australian series Kath and Kim, and now travels regularly to perform stand-up comedy shows and MC events.

He will be at Narrogin Hawks Football Club next Friday for what he describes as a good night of fun and laughs.

“I’ll be doing my whole set, I’ll be doing some comedy and the raffle draw, and I’ll do some chit chat among the locals and a little bit of improvising,” he said.

Rowsthorn performs regularly in country towns and often brings his children with him on the road.

“I do lots of shows in the country, I love it,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to Narrogin; it’s been a long time.”

Rowsthorn aims to add a bit of local knowledge into his set, and says he usually has no trouble getting people to talk.

“I usually come in about an hour early and people just cough up the information,” he said.

Tickets to the show on Friday, July 7 are $25 from Narrogin Sportspower.
