SummerSalt: Music festival returns to Castelli Estate in Denmark this long weekend

Bringing Missy Higgins, Xavier Rudd, Kate Miller-Heidke and Perth indie trio Dulcie to the Great South, SummerSalt is set to make a big splash this long weekend.

Event managing director Adam Castelli says he’s excited to bring the festival back to Denmark this year and see what these musicians bring to the stage.

“This concert each year is a great way to bring everyone together and celebrate this great corner of the world,” he said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Xavier Rudd, he’s been a profound voice in Australian music for the past 20 years now and we’re looking forward to seeing him light up the hill at Castelli come March.”

Mr Castelli says there’s still time to buy tickets for those interested in attending the event.

“Last year was a sell-out and a great weekend all around,” he said.

“We’ve still got tickets left to Sunday’s show, so be sure to grab one if you’d like to come along.”

There’s a 50 per cent chance of rain on Saturday, while Sunday is set to be partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of some rain.

Attendees may want to come prepared, as organisers say the festival will go ahead unless there is a severe weather warning.

The two-day festival kicks off on Saturday, March 2, at the Castelli Estate outside of Denmark.

Gates open both days at 3pm with acts starting at 3.45pm and running until 9.30pm.

Shuttle busses from Albany and Denmark will be available both days and festival goers who want to avoid finding parking at the venue will be able to book them with return trips.
