The Eagles will be without Elliot Yeo and Deven Robertson, while Sydney will welcome back Isaac Heeney as Charlie Curnow returns to a ground he’s dominated as a Blue.

MASSIVE STEP BACK

Heeney speaks

He tries to give the Eagles something

“You’ve got some of their guns that really start to shine,” he said,

“We tag Harley for a reason because he’s soo good.”

“And Duursma coming through had some moments.

On his hanger over Harley.

“I’ve got to give him to that, I absolutely love him he’s a ripper, but it was nice moment to get one over on him.”

Full Time Sydney 24.19 (163) WCE 4.11 (35)

The Eagles narrowly avoid their worst ever loss in WA at 128 points.

But it’s still the fifth worth loss in club history as any goodwill built up over the past fortnight has evaporated.

50,000 fans saw the Eagles take a huge step back not because they lost bu because they could not compete.

Duursma was perhaps the sole shining line after moving into the middle after half time and finsihed with two goals.

For the Swans Isaac Heeney was amazing, Brodie Grundy elite and Chad Warner had moments. Demorilising for the Eagles.

Reid at full back

He’s been poor tonight. He’s had 15 touches but his head went down early.

James Jordan has worn him like a glove and has 17 touches and a goal of his own.

Papley gets a second

Tunrover on half back from the Eagles as the handballs miss their targets.

Papley uncontested mark and gets a second goal in game 200.

Final quarter underway

West Coast win the clearance for once and the ball is out of play just outside 50.

Owies gets a free kick for copping a high tackle.

Duursma finds space to take a nice mark and kicks his second goal.

END of Q3 SYD 20.10 (130) WCE 3.11 (29)

Duursma gives the Eagles fans something to cheer about but the goal reduces the margin to 101 points.

There biggest loss at Optus is 109 points against Richmond in 2022.

They’d do well to keep it under that in the final quarter.

Duursma with a rare highlight

He’s been moved on the ball in this quarter and has held up well.

He gets the ball outside 50 and boots through a great solo effort.

Eagles finally get a third goal.

Chad Warner has a goal

You doubt the performance of the Eagles tonight would tempt him to come back to WA.

He catches Schoenberg holding the ball and converts to become Swans’ 12th goal scorer.

Heeney gets his fourth

It’s been some night for the Swans superstar in his first game back from a hamstring strain.

Matt Flynn stuck on him this time and he can’t do anything to stop him as the margin is out to 100 points.
