With around two million West Australians set to be handed $100 as the sweetener from this year’s State Budget, many will be wondering when and how they can get their hands on the funds.
The Cook Government pitched it as a “fuel support payment” but you can spend the $100 on anything you want.
How to access your $100 payment:
The quickest way to get access your money will be the ServiceWA app.
The app has already been used by about 500,000 Western Australians as it is the same way the existing Student Assistance Payment is primarily administered.
For those who haven’t yet used the app, you’ll need to download it first.
You will then need to create an account by using a Digital ID made through the Federal Government’s myID app.
Once completed, the payment will be available through the offers section of the ServiceWA app, where you’ll have to put in your driver’s licence details.
There will also be other options available for those who can not, or do not want to, use the app.
A paper option exists, although details as to how that will work have not been released.
“Alternative claim options will also be available for people who are unable or do not wish to use the app,” the WA Government website says.
