Wickepin move to second on the ladder after a decisive 55-38 win over Olympics Gold at the weekend in the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association.
Not much separated the two sides during the first break, with Wickepin holding a 9-7 lead.
Pulling away in the second term, Wickepin extended their lead to 22-16 at half-time but it was the third term where they put their foot down, scoring 18 goals to Olympics’ 10.
Heading into the final term with a 40-26 advantage, Wickepin again outscored their opponents to record an impressive 55-38 victory, leaving them with two wins and one lose after round three.
Olympics’ sit in fourth spot with a single win under their belt after three matches.
Kelly Steere and Hilary Wittwer were the game’s best players.
Williams ground down Cuballing in the final quarter of their clash on the weekend to record their first victory of the season.
In front by two goals heading into the first break, 10-8, Williams slightly built on their advantage after quarter-time, hitting 13 goals to Cuballing’s 12, heading into half-time in front 23-20.
It wasn’t until after the main break Williams started to pull away from Cuballing, finding 15 goals to Cuballing’s 12.

Megan Hardie and Aaliyah Ugle were named best on court.
Pingelly down Wagin
Pingelly have come back from a rocky start in Wagin to remain undefeated and on top of the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association’s A1 ladder.
Wagin opened the match with consecutive unanswered goals from quick back-line passes straight to an open goal shooter.
Pingelly settled into their own game plan halfway into the opening term building a six-goal lead by the end of the first quarter, 14-8.
Wagin’s zone style in the second term provided false sense of security for open Pingelly players, with cross-court passes intercepted by Wagin’s nimble defence.
The visitors eventually went on to hold a 27-16 lead at half-time.
Pingelly’s defensive unit had a heavy work rate throughout the entire match, with Jodie Marshall, Mel Tinker and Vin Roser working well together to cause Wagin turnovers. Alex Hodges and Rheannon Turton offered strong attacking and defensive pressure for Pingelly.
Wagin outscored Pingelly 15-9 in the last term. It wasn’t enough, however, with Pingelly holding on to win 53-43.
