Women’s cricket returned to Narrogin last Friday night, as Towns Cricket Club hosted an eight-a-side competition at Clayton Road Oval.

One side wearing UGSHA and the other in “Warriors White” shirts, the two teams faced off in a 16-over match, similar to indoor cricket rules.

Rather than making the long walk back to the dressing room, four runs were reduced from a batter’s total for the loss of a wicket, while each pair faced four overs together.

The match itself went down to the last ball of the match, as the Warriors White shirts claimed a victory by a single run while chasing down UGSHA shirts’ total of 105.

Sophie Lushy was highest scorer with 24 runs, while teammates Flik Atsbury (18), Lyn Lucas (18) and Claire Coffey (10) help the Warriors White surpass the total.
