The Highbury Tennis Club has marked the end of the 2023-24 season with a gala wind-up that saw Stu Moyses thanked for his contribution to the fabric of the small town club with life membership.

The honour bestowed on April 6 recognised three decades of effort from Moyses, who has served as a committee member, shown leadership in captaincy roles, been an active works-parties participant and a vibrant part of club culture.

HTC life members Neville Jamieson, Vicki Chadwick, Gary Lorrimar, Yvonne Scott and Tate Barrett were on hand to welcome Moyses to the fold along with about 40 other current and past club members who gathered to celebrate at the wrap.

The season’s tournament winners were also applauded and the club is looking forward to the 2024-25 season kicking off in September.
