Shire of Pingelly promises blooming good time at town’s first Flowers, Arts and Music Festival in October

Pingelly’s first Flowers, Arts and Music Festival is set to transform the country town’s main street on October 14 with an explosion of colour and culture. It has been organised by the Shire of Pingelly and hearkens back to the Pingelly Tulip Festival, which was last held in the town more than 20 years ago. The tulip festival drew trainloads of visitors from Perth to Pingelly, filling the town with colour and cheer, and is remembered fondly by the community. Floats, food vans, flowers and live music will fill Parade Street and visitors to the festival will be able to see a range of local artworks that will be displayed as part of an art competition run by the Shire of Pingelly in partnership with Arts Narrogin. The town will also host the ACCWA 2023 Caravan Rally and the WA Sheepdog trials on the same weekend. “It’s going to be awesome and colourful,” Shire of Pingelly CEO Andrew Dover said. “Come check it out.” Stall holders, food vendors and not-for-profit organisations are invited to be part of the event and artists across all mediums are advised to keep an eye on the Shire of Pingelly FAM Festival page for updates and competition application info.
