Pool closure

Michael TraillNarrogin Observer

Narrogin Leisure Centre’s pool will remain open over the summer school holidays, with closure for roof repairs to take place in March.

Shire of Narrogin chief executive Dale Stewart said the Shire awarded a $154,000 tender from Perth-based Safeway Construction, after receiving four compliant tenders and one late tender, including one tender from a Narrogin-based company.

“The works associated with the aquatic side roof insulation and ceiling will involve a proposed maximum 13 days of closure to swimming activities in March 2019,” he said.

“Which is scheduled so as to minimise disruption to vacswim✓ lessons and swimming club training and we apologise for this inconvenience for this necessary and much needed maintenance activity.”
