Police seek witnesses to vehicle crash near Wickepin

Two people have been hospitalised after a car crash in Wickepin on Monday morning.

The crash happened at around 8:15, when a truck collided with a Ute on Fleay Road, near the Wickepin-Corrigin road intersection.

A male in his 50s, driving the Ute, suffered serious head injuries and was flown to Perth Royal Hospital by an RAC helicopter.

The truck driver, also a male in his 50s escaped with minor injuries and was taken to the Narrogin Hospital by St Johns Ambulance.

Two emergency volunteer units from Kulin and Narrogin were dispatched to the scene.

It is not yet known how the crash occurred but it is currently being investigated by the police.
