Pingelly proved too strong for Cuballing in a tough week two match in the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association.

Cuballing applied early pressure, taking a four-nil lead, before Pingelly converted 13 of the next 17 goals to finish the first term in front 13-8.

Capitalising on the match’s fast pace, Pingelly extended their advantage to 30-18 at half-time.

Sheree Blechynden and Leanne Watts were a real threat for Panthers, as Pingelly piled on 35 goals in the second half to Cuballing’s 13.

Leigh Jennings and Jodie Marshall restricted Cuballing’s avenue to goal.

Debutante Vin Roser and Mel Tinker, who rotated between wing-defence, goalkeeper and centre, applied plenty of defensive pressure for the Panthers.

Alex Ferns stood out for Pingelly, predominately playing in centre, while also spending a quarter in wing-attack, while Caris Cunningham’s closing speed, height and strength made the difference in wing attack during the second and fourth quarters. Pingelly won the match 65-31.

Pingelly coach Holli Hanson said she was proud of her side’s effort.

“Work load for whole team was exceptional with results speaking volumes,” she said.
