October will mark 125 years of the Narrogin Agricultural Show celebrating its unity, heritage, and community

Narrogin will celebrate its 125th annual Agricultural Show in October with a fun-filled day of activities that will celebrate the town’s farming heritage. Organised by Narrogin Agricultural Society volunteers, the Narrogin Agricultural Show will take place on October 12 with 62 stalls showcasing produce and livestock, thrilling rides, and fresh food. This year’s theme “Step Up and Lend a Hand” will acknowledge the community’s volunteers and champion the town’s resilience during the live export ban and dry spells impacting the agricultural industry. Narrogin Agricultural Society Incorporated trade and market stall co-ordinator Vicki Chadwick said the show holds a “strong significance for us as a community” as a testament to Narrogin’s strength, camaraderie, and growth. “We are trying to maintain the rich agricultural heritage that has been a big part of our show, especially with the current situation surrounding agriculture,” she said. “We’re offering ourselves and the surrounding community the chance to get together as a family unit and attend the show and to see not only the carnival side but what our town has to offer.” The Lulus children’s show with Art Brella and Circus Challenge performed at Alby Park, a Junkadelic Brass Band workshop, and a DFES and SJA simulation display are only a few of the 26 entertainment shows to enjoy. Art, photography, craft, floral, baking, and children’s prizes including vouchers donated by local businesses will be awarded to first and second-place entries. The festivities will continue into the night with live music and a vibrant firework display.
