NDNA 2024: Williams waltz through to A1 decider after knocking off Cuballing in dominant qualifying final

Williams 1 have stormed into the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association A1 grand final with a resounding 20-goal win over minor premiers Cuballing 1 in a hotly contested qualifying final on Saturday.
Williams showed signs of their dominance from earlier in the season, and their speed and minimal errors showed on the court.
Unforced errors from Cuballing allowed Williams’ Megan Hardie and Denver Henson to capitalise with a strong performance in attack.
Abbey McKay was rewarded for front position in defence for Williams, causing several turnovers, frustrating the Cuballing attack.
Although Regina Kickett was flawless for Cuballing, Williams ran out winners 57-37 to progress to the grand final.
In the second semifinal for A1, Wagin 1 took on Pingelly 1 in a tight contest.
Pingelly proved more consistent throughout the game, with their pressure down the court forcing turnovers.
The game appeared quite even to the spectators but small gains for Pingelly helped them take the win 59-38 win and book a place in the preliminary final next week against Cuballing.
Friday night began with the A2 first semifinal, with minor premiers Wagin 2 taking on Williams 2 in a tight contest.
The game thrilled spectators and was tight, with Wagin holding steady under pressure and defeating Williams 59-52.

In A3, Olympics Royals were too strong for Williams 3, taking the win 40-29 and progressing to the preliminary final next week.
In the junior division one first semifinal, Olympics Teal dominated Waves 3 and claimed their spot in the grand final, 55-33.
Waves will now take on Cuballing in the preliminary final next week.
In the first A3 semifinal, minor premiers Wickepin 2 took on Wagin 3 in a thriller, and with the winner heading straight to the grand final, both teams gave it everything in a nailbiting finish.

Wagin will take on Olympics Royals next week to see who will progress to the decider.
In the day’s final showdown, Waves 2 and Flames 1 faced off in the A2 second semifinal.
Both teams finished the season strongly, so this game had the potential to go either way.
Flames came out strong with their defenders tight around the circle, but Waves remained composed.
The physical game was controlled well by the umpires, and Waves proved the stronger team, winning 56-39.
They will now face the challenge of defeating Williams to progress to the grand final.
