Narrogin Repertory Club serving up murder and mystery with a sprinkle of the funnies in first play of 2024

Narrogin Repertory Club will be bringing murder, mystery and laughs to town next month as it readies to wow audiences with its first production of the year The Butler Did It!. Directed by Ilario Da Silva and David Pettit, the play written by Todd Wallinger riffs on the genre providing a comedic element while remaining true to established conventions and featuring traditional characters. “It’s light and entertaining,” Da Silva said. “It gives the audience an opportunity to put on their thinking hats and think who might it be, who might be the murder — it opens up a bit of discussion.” Intermission will give theatre-goers a chance to play detective as they try to unravel the plot and solve the whodunit. The cast includes many familiar local faces and also some of the club’s new members, Joan Armstrong, Sharna Odlin and Ella Haan who will make their debut. Seven performances will take place at the Thornton Theatre on Fairway Street from April 11-20, including a matinee on April 14.
