Narrogin hosts Fuel to Go & Play Fast 5’s Carnival combining hockey and netball for high school students

The inaugural Fuel to Go & Play Fast 5’s Carnival was a big success at the Narrogin YMCA Leisure Centre last week.
The event was played on August 11 and aimed at high school students in Years 7-9.

A total of 21 teams competed from Narrogin, Kojonup, Katanning and Wagin high schools.
They competed in the boys hockey, girls hockey, girls A-grade netball, girls B-grade netball and boys netball.

Teams played a round-robin event with finals in all grades.
The winners of each grade were spread with Katanning 1 taking out the girls A-grade netball, Narrogin 4 winning the girls B-grade netball and Kojonup 2 were the boys netball champions.

Narrogin 2 claimed victory in the girls hockey and Narrogin 3 were winners of the boys hockey.
Organisers said students had a great day and enjoyed the different format.
They thanked all the students, teachers, managers and umpires who made the day a successful one.
