Narrogin detectives asking for public’s help to find stolen firearms after Wickepin home burglary

Narrogin detectives are urgently seeking public assistance after thieves stole three guns in a firearms safe from a home in Wickepin this month.

Detectives say between 10am on July 18 and 6.30pm on July 19, thieves forced entry into a house on Yarling Brook Road in Wickepin and stole a firearms safe that contained three guns.

The firearms safe was a black Buffalo River five-gun safe, with two stickers on it that detectives are urging the public to keep an eye out for.

One sticker is orange and blue with the text ‘CCi Standard Velocity 22LR’, and the second is a blue, black and yellow membership sticker for the Sporting Shooters Association of WA.

Personal property including a ring with a distinctive purple gemstone were also stolen.

Police posted photos of the ring and the stickers on the firearms safe to Facebook on Friday, urging anyone with information to come forward while detectives continue to investigate the incident.
