Comedy Gold returns to Narrogin with four new award-winning comedians set to cure the winter blues.

The regional WA touring comedy show will stop in Narrogin tomorrow night, travelling more than 2500km to perform 10 shows across WA in 11 days.

Comedy Gold producer Anthony Lamond said the line-up was diverse.

“One of the things I try do as a producer when putting these shows together is get a lot of variety and many different styles of comedy in,” he said

“I wanted to make sure that this show was suited for rural areas too and everyone could walk out feeling great.

“Everyone needs a laugh, and many rural areas out there struggle in terms of loneliness and isolation so this is a chance to get together with the community, have a drink and have fun.”

Mr Lamond said the comedians were from across Australia, with headliner Luke Heggie being a multi-award winner, recently returning from a UK tour.

“He’s had a lot of international experience and what makes him popular is his great dry sense of humour,” he said.

ARtS Narrogin events co-ordinator Brad Flett said the show was also a response to last year’s Narrogin entertainment survey.

“The Shire put out a survey last year and the number one request of that survey was people wanted comedy on weekends — here it is,” Mr Flett said.
