Trading school boots for dancing shoes, the Western Australian College of Agriculture Narrogin senior students celebrated their school ball. A procession of show and shine vehicles ensured the magic began well before attendees arrived at Burswood on Swan on February 27 to commemorate their senior school years. Fitting to the enchanted forest theme, students enjoyed a bountiful dinner surrounded by candlelit woodland centrepieces and backdrops of emerald green and mystical features. A photo booth set with custom props guaranteed students could memorialise their magical night. The awards ceremony bestowed Emily Wilcocks and Zavier Ford with the belle and beau of the ball sashes, followed on stage by the cutest couple — Layla Till and Cooper Bryant-Smith. Indyana Wescombe and Wesley Boyce were voted the best dressed for the night alongside Caitlyn Gill and Liam Bertuola who received best-dressed invited guests as decided by students. Award winners enjoyed Bliss Photography vouchers, photo frames and chocolates. To mark the momentous occasion, a surprise firework display painted the night sky before DJ Diesel Productions lit up the dance floor spinning favourite tracks chosen by students with some classic favourites like the Macarena. As a memento of the evening, each guest received a custom tree of life key ring, handmade by college trades staff. College principal Clare Roser said the country kids brought a touch of sophisticated magic to the event. “This event is a unique blend of town and country, a special moment for students to come together and celebrate their senior years,” she said. “We were proud to see them represent our community so well”.
