IN PICTURES: Sensorium Theatre transports Wheatbelt kids into space with a Whoosh

Narrogin received a special visit from outer space with Sensorium Theatre’s interactive adventure experience Whoosh! touching down at the Narrogin Town Hall from June 20-23. Captain Zola (Michelle Hovane) and her crew — Flo the scientist (Kylie Bywater), Bing the engineer (Francis Italiano) and Phonic the robot (Jamie David) — took the kids on an amazing trip through the stars. A small group of children from Wickepin Primary School were the final group to blast off with the crew after enlisting as cadets. The inclusive theatre project designed for children with additional needs and their friends took eight groups of children into space on a journey that featured space food, alien eggs and plenty of song and dance. The Wickepin children were kept busy on the journey by the crew as they guided the ship through the solar system and explored a psychedelic planet populated by neon space worms before returning to earth.
