IN PICTURES: Narrogin Combined School Anzac Service brings Wheatbelt South kids together to pay tribute

Students from schools across Narrogin came together as one to mark Anzac Day with a combined school service hosted by East Narrogin Primary School last Wednesday. Secondary and primary school students from five local schools, including the Narrogin WA College of Agriculture, gathered at Memorial Park. ENPS deputy principal Jo Hays said the occasion was a special one. “It was a precious time to have students come together to honour those who served,” she said. “Student representatives from all schools presented reflections on the stories of courage, service and sacrifice, from Gallipoli to today.” Shire of Narrogin president Leigh Ballard and WA Deputy Leader of the Opposition Peter Rundle also attended the service to pay their respects. On Thursday, students were well represented again as Narrogin Senior High School’s Clancy Shepherd led the April 25 service with a reading of Ken Bunker’s A Tribute To Anzac Day.
