IN PICTURES: Kids scramble for eggs as Easter Bunny brings chocolate, hugs and smiles to Pingelly

The Easter Bunny made a grand return to Pingelly on Saturday where it showered many excited kids with chocolate and cuddles at Memorial Park. The bunny arrived in a fire truck with lights flashing and siren wailing and Pingelly Central Bushfire Brigade captain Peter Narducci said that the visit organised by local firies had become a much-loved Easter tradition. “We always do the Christmas Santa run and we just felt that Easter is also an important part of the year,” he said. “It just sort of gives the kids an opportunity to get together and meet the Easter Bunny . . . the audience is getting bigger and bigger — this year we’ve even had people come all the way from the city with their pet rabbit to visit the Easter Bunny.” Kids had plenty of fun as they scrambled for eggs and spent quality time with their big-eared friend.
