Fun night as footy club reminisces
Past members of the Narrogin Railways Football Club reunited Saturday night, September 1, at the Eagles sporting club.
Among the crowded clubrooms were members of the Railways’ 1972 and 1978 premiership side.
This year marks the 40thanniversary of Railways’ lastpremiership.
A founding club of the Upper Great Southern Football League in 1959, Railways became the Narrogin Eagles in 1993.
They then merged with rival founding club, Narrogin Lions (Narrogin Towns) in 2004 to become today’s Narrogin Hawks.
Members of the old club shared stories of their time playing in both Railways and Eagles jumpers.
