Fortune Fresh Hot Bread goes up in flames

Fortune Fresh Hot Bread has been forced to shut indefinitely after a fire broke out in the kitchen at around 5:30am on Sunday morning.

Narrogin fire brigade were first on the scene followed by back up from the Williams fire brigade, with the flames taking around half an hour to extinguish.

The Egerton Street bakery suffered damage to the deep fryers, ventilation and extensive heat and smoke damage to the inside of the entire building.

Fire crews left the scene at around 8:30am and the bakery is set to be shut for weeks as a result of the incident.

Narrogin police say the cause of the fire is still undetermined, and at this stage the incident is being treated as an accident and not a criminal offence.
