More than $150,000 of repairs to the YMCA Narrogin Regional Recreation Centre are expected to be completed by next Wednesday.

Pending weather and safety standards, the pool will be ready according to centre manager Tia Sandhu.

“The pool is undergoing roof renovations which is relaying insulation, putting up additional gutters and also clearing out the sky lights for the first time in many years,” she said.

“There’ll be a lot more natural light in both the sports courts and the pool area.”

Some $43,000 was spent repairing YMCA Narrogin Regional Recreation Centre’s roof last year, while the sports courts were closed in August because of heavy rains.

That rain leaked on to the courts forcing the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association to abandon matches.

The tenure for current roof repairs was awarded to Perth-based Safeway Buildings and Renovations.
