Carlyon rebounds from country tour

Boddington’s Alex Carlyon has returned home after representing Western Australia Country at the Southern Cross Challenge in Melbourne.
The competition boasted the best under-15 basketballers in both regional and metropolitan Australia.
In Pool B of the competition, WA Country faced the metro and country sides of both South Australia and Victoria as well as NSW Metro over six rounds.
WA Country went winless throughout the competition.
However, Carlyon posted strong numbers and was the side’s second-highest scorer.
Carlyon’s 28 points scored was only second to Harry Evans’ 40 for the competition.
Victoria Metro went unde-feated in Pool B of competition, while all metro sides placed above their country counterparts.
WA Metro placed third in Pool A.
