Business After Hours gives members and guests the chance to meet and mingle at Arts Narrogin

The first Narrogin Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event of 2024 was well supported on Wednesday with about 30 people enjoying a laid-back sundowner hosted by Arts Narrogin. Surrounded by paintings in the cool of the gallery space, chamber vice chair Joseph Nyemba kicked things off at 6pm. “It’s my pleasure to welcome you all here this evening and I give special thanks to Arts Narrogin,” he said. “Tonight is about networking and familiarising ourselves with local businesses in a great venue with all this beautiful art.” Mr Nyemba spoke about some of the projects NCoC has in the works, including an overseas worker recruitment initiative scheduled for March. After the welcome, Arts Narrogin chair Barbara Fletcher, business manager Casey Thornton, administration officer and volunteer co-ordinator Kimberly Williams and finance officer Melanie Noakes took to the floor. Arts Narrogin partnered with the Perth Symphony Orchestra to deliver the PSO Narrogin Haybales Concert in November 2023 and the team talked a bit about the journey, how businesses benefited and the importance of collaboration, culture and community. “Arts Narrogin is a local non-profit arts organisation with a comprehensive performing arts program,” Ms Thornton said. “And we’ve got a pretty big year coming up again.”
