Katanning Netball Association ready to start finals in both junior and senior competitions
It was a fantastic final round for 2023 before the big weeks of finals are played out.
Go juniors kept up with their games in the morning, kick-starting the atmosphere with some exciting games.
Juniors added to that excitement with some big games happening and all their hard work has paid off ready for the semifinals this Saturday.
With Nutrien facing Kojonup Sapphires and NAB taking on McIntosh, these games are going to be big as teams hunt for that win to be in the grand final.
Seniors was another week of complete determination to settle ladder positions for each grade.
Major efforts and club morale was displayed from every team for their final round, plus plenty of great team spirit.
There was low player numbers in A-grade as players from lower grades filled the spots and kept the games rolling for their final round.
Te Taitonga 1 was up against a mighty Olympians 1 with the latter recording a very strong win, 70-32.
Allstars 1 kept Kojonup 1 on their toes throughout their contest, however Allstars 1 were strong at the end to record a 64-57 win.
In A-reserves, Allstars 2 faced off against Broomehill and it was a fight from the beginning for the win.
Broomehill were on song this week to run out winners 52-45.
Kojonup 2 had their skills tested for this final round against Dumbleyung 1.
Dumbleyung brought everything to the table this week and finished with their first win, 35-22.
It was a nail-biting round in B-grade, Olympians 3 were up against ladder leaders Allstars 3.
Olympians 3 gave them a run for their money, but Allstars 3 eventually took the win, 37-21.
Olympians 2 were out to get back up the ladder but Te Taitonga 2 had other ideas as they claimed a 51-35 triumph.
It was a good week for Kojonup in C-grade as Kojonup 4 continued their winning streak.
It was a good hard game against Dumbleyung 2, but Kojonup 4 came out on top, 43-33.
Cardinals Phoenix couldn’t keep their rhythm this week against ladder leaders Kojonup 3, who ran away with a 43-28 win.
Semifinals start this Saturday for all divisions.
