Eleven Katanning Senior High Students awarded Telstra Tech scholarships in recognition of academic ambition

Katanning Senior High School has celebrated the achievements of 11 high achieving students who have been awarded Telstra Tech for STEM Regional Scholarships. Elle Penny, Shadiyah Sidiqq, Maddi Garrity, Aqidah Abdullah, Leila Zakaria, Billie-Jo French, Nakita Thornborough, Austin Quartermaine, Zachary Fruhstuck, Omar Imran and Johnathon Cripps were all selected for the scholarship after displaying great academic performance as Year 10 students in 2023. The Telstra scholarships are awarded each year to regional and remote Year 11 students who are undertaking two or more STEM courses or qualifications in a bid to motivate and encourage recipients to pursue a future career in STEM. As part of the scholarship, the students were presented with Apple devices by KSHS principal Innocent Chikwama to help them tackle the school year ahead.
