Revealed: When the UFC will return to Perth’s RAC Arena for first Fight Night

The UFC has revealed they will return to Perth as they prepare for a third event in as many years at RAC Arena. The West Australian can reveal UFC Fight Night Perth will be held on Sunday, September 28 where a series of exciting matchups between top contenders are set take place. It will be the first time Perth has hosted a UFC Fight Night and comes on the back of the success of several pay-per-view events over the past seven years including UFC 305 in August of 2024. Mixed martial arts is making waves in Western Australia on the back of the success of the state’s first-ever UFC champion in welterweight title holder Jack Della Maddalena as well as high-profile athletes in Steve Erceg, Cody Haddon and Quillan Salkilld. A main event and several bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. “We are excited for the return of the UFC Fight Night brand of events to Australia – and it is destination Perth, Western Australia this September” senior vice president of UFC Australia and New Zealand Peter Kloczko said. “Our roster of athletes across Australia and New Zealand is at an all-time high and our fans can expect to see a high calibre action once again at RAC Arena. “UFC feels at home each time we bring the Octagon to Perth, which has played host to iconic events, memorable bouts and now producing some of the best fighters in the world. “UFC is grateful for the support in Western Australia that has allowed these events and the sport of MMA to flourish, while continuing to deliver outstanding outcomes for the visitor economy.” It will be the fourth UFC event to ever be held at RAC Arena, having previously hosted UFC 221 in February of 2018 as well as UFC 284 in February, 2023 and UFC 305 in August of last year. There will be a week’s worth of activities in the lead-up to the Fight Night Perth with open workouts, a press conference and ceremonial weigh-ins. The event and future bout announcements are subject to the approval of the Western Australia Combat Sports Commission.
