Sydney superstar Lance Franklin is set to come under scrutiny by the match review officer after an incident with former Richmond skipper Trent Cotchin on Friday night.

Franklin was caught in a wrestle with Cotchin during the second quarter when his frustration appeared to boil over, with the spearhead appearing to strike the three-time premiership player twice.

The incident cost the Swans a free kick in a horror first half for the Swans.
