Adelaide United's faith hasn't been shaken by a string of three draws to open their A-League Men season, Reds goalkeeper James Delianov says.

"We have got a lot of belief around the club and the results so far, we can always build on them.

"It's good that we're not dropping points although some of the draws might have felt like losses."

Adelaide's scoreless away draw against Brisbane on Saturday followed a 2-2 result against titleholders Melbourne City and a 1-1 away stalemate against Perth.

"The football we played (against Brisbane) was good in patches, we created a lot of chances and unfortunately couldn't get the win," he said.

"Obviously we'd like to win games but at least we're not losing."

Sixth-placed Adelaide host arch-rival Melbourne Victory on Saturday night, with the Victory perched in second spot with two wins and a loss to start coach Tony Popovic's tenure at the club.

"They are really well organised," Delianov said of Victory.

"With Popovic coming in, we have got a lot of respect for him, he's a top coach and has brought in some good players."
