Security Spot won at huge odds with his rebound victory in the Mixed Grade 4/5 over 400m at Greyhounds WA Mandurah last Friday.
The white-and-fawn chaser from Enzo Crudeli’s kennel had finished last in his previous start but prior to that had won three straight.
Despite his recent good form, Security Spot was overlooked by punters and went to the starting line as a $41 chance on tote.
Security Spot jumped fairly from box six and was able to push up into third place behind the leading Moo Move as they approached the turn.
Security Spot worked his way over to the rail and he found a gap along the inside, which enabled him to surge forward.
By the time they rounded out of the corner, Security Spot had secured the lead and he continued to press his advantage in the home straight to score by more than a length in 22.44.
The result improved Security Spot’s overall record to 12 wins from 35 starts.
