The woman at the centre of the Tim Paine has reportedly filed a sexual harassment claim against Cricket Tasmania.

Renee Ferguson, 47, is reportedly claiming that she complained about cases of sexual harassment in the Cricket Tasmania office before she resigned from her job there.

The complaint does not relate to Paine or his brother-in-law Shannon Tubb, who have both allegedly previously sent lewd messages to Ms Ferguson.

According to news.com.au, Ms Ferguson filed a 17-page document in the Federal Court, with lawyers on her behalf lodging an originating application under the Australian Human Rights Commission Act for sexual harassment.

In it, Ms Ferguson claims that she had raised a sexual harassment complaint against another Cricket Tasmania with the organisation’s human resources manager. The complaint does not relate to Paine or Tubb, but another man in the office.

Ferguson resigned from her position at the state cricket organisation in 2017 after she was accused of stealing. She was later charged in relation to the matter and is set to face Tasmanian Magistrates Court early next year.

It is reported that the document features several cases of sexualised banter that Ms Ferguson was subjected to in her time at Cricket Tasmania, including being told to “get on snap you mole” by Tubb.

The news comes just hours after Cricket Tasmania announced Paine would take a leave of absence from cricket for the “foreseeable future”, a week after he stepped down as Australian captain following the revelation of his sexting scandal.

“Cricket Tasmania will continue to support Tim and his family both professionally and personally over the summer,” the statement said.

Paine’s Test career is almost certainly over after the decision, with fast bowler Pat Cummins today announced as his replacement.

Paine was cleared of any wrongdoing by Cricket Tasmania over the incident in 2018, but the lawyers of Ms Ferguson reportedly allege she was never interviewed.

Ms Ferguson also claims Tubb, who is married to Paine’s sister, sent messages to her including “I want to put my c*** in between your t***.” as well as “F*** your t*** look massive today.”
