Footy fans will soon have the opportunity to secure their places to see their sides’ first competitive hit-out of 2026, with the AFL revealing when pre-season tickets will be up for grabs.

The 2026 AAMI Community Series will give all 18 teams a competitive clash ahead of the season proper, with the games to be four full 20-minute quarters plus time on.

However, there will be no interchange cap, and squads will be extended to 30 players giving the chance for teams to experiment and settle on their best 22 ahead of round one.

Fremantle will take on minor premiers Adelaide at Rushton Park in Mandurah on Saturday, February 28 at 6.10pm, while West Coast will host Port Adelaide at Mineral Resources Park at 6.10pm.

Tickets for all pre-season games will go on sale next Wednesday, February 4, at 9am AWST for club and AFL members and 12pm for the general public.

Club members, AFL members and kids aged 14 and under will have free general admission across all Community Series clashes, subject to capacity, but must have a ticket to redeem.

General admission tickets will start at $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Fremantle and West Coast will also have a pre-season clash on February 21 before the start of the Community Series at Cockburn Oval, but this will be closed to the public and only available on pay TV.

Last year West Coast took on Richmond in match simulation before a pre-season clash against North Melbourne in Bunbury, while Fremantle battled the Indigenous All-Stars and then took on Melbourne in Mandurah.
