A man has been charged after allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk, the wife of the late Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last year.
Ms Kirk, who is now chief executive and chair of political group Turning Point USA, is scheduled to speak at one of the organisation’s events in June, which has allegedly been targeted by a terror threat.
According to police documents, Jacob Wenske, 26, allegedly commented on a social media post promoting Ms Kirk’s appearance at the event, saying he knew “where to bomb”.
“I know exactly where to bomb,” a comment on the post allegedly said.
“I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort,” he allegedly added in another follow-up comment.
It is understood that Mr Wenske previously worked at a parking company that provided car valet services for major events.
Police also allege they found an account linked to Mr Wenske which emailed Turning Point USA in January 2026, where he allegedly spoke about bombings at the group’s events.
“Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event.”
US media outlet KSAT claimed that Mr Wenske was now facing two charges of making a terroristic threat, causing public fear.
Responding to the charges, Turning Point USA said that it refuses to let threats silence the group.
“Turning Point USA takes all threats seriously and we work closely with law enforcement at all levels to respond to and resolve any threats,” a statement posted on social media read.
“We are grateful to the San Antonio Police Department and the FBI for their rapid response and arrest of the individual making these threats.
“The safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff is always our top priority. All TPUSA events include enhanced, multi-layered security measures that are enforced by both private security and local police.
“We refuse to let threats silence us. We look forward to a successful and inspiring gathering June 5–7 in San Antonio for 2,500+ ladies attending the Women’s Leadership Summit!”
Conservative activist Kirk was shot dead during a debate at a Utah university in September 2025.
The event is set to go ahead, while Mr Wenske awaits a court date.
