Firefighters stormed a burning building in Perth after concerns somebody could be trapped inside on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were first alerted to the blaze on Parry Street, near the intersection of Pier Street, by a concerned driver who noticed smoke billowing from the roof of a property about 4.20pm.
The blaze completely engulfed the property by the time firefighters arrived but it was mostly controlled by 4.30pm.
A search of the building by firefighters ruled out concerns that somebody was trapped inside, a Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
St John WA paramedics were dispatched to the scene, but were not required to treat anybody. Police were also responding.
