The mother of an 11-year-old boy who was tragically killed in a scooter crash in Mandurah on Easter Monday has been found after a desperate search by police.

Concerns were held for Jaymie Zisson, the mother of Michael Judge, as she had not been seen or heard from for a number of days.

Just before lunchtime on Friday a police spokesperson said she has been located alive.

Her son’s funeral is set to take place this afternoon.

Michael was fatally injured when he was struck by a blue Mazda sedan outside Lakeside Villas on Mandurah Terrace on April 6.

Michael is understood to have been visiting his friend who was staying at the villas. The tragedy happened when he rode his scooter down the steep driveway before crossing the busy Mandurah road.

Family tributes described Michael as a “beloved son” to his parents and an “amazing brother” to three siblings.

“We were so lucky to share 11 wonderful years with you,” the obituary read.

“You will be deeply missed and always loved.”

Michael’s mother also penned a tribute as part of an online fundraiser, describing Michael as “my son and best friend 4 life”.
