A crash on Mitchell Freeway is causing heavy traffic for commuters heading home for the weekend.
The collision on the southbound entry from Hester Avenue in Joondalup occurred just after 4pm on Friday.
DFES and tow trucks are on the scene.
Main Roads WA confirmed the left lane is partially blocked and traffic is slow on approach.
Vision from the scene shows vehicles blocked behind the crash, unable to enter the freeway or reverse back.
Motorists are being urged to drive with caution in the area.
