Kalgoorlie-Boulder locals will have the opportunity to meet Lego Masters WA’s Owen Davies and Scott Chappell to celebrate the final weekend of the Brickwrecks exhibition before it sails away.

The Museum of the Goldfields has organised the exclusive after-dark event for Saturday from 5pm-9pm, which will include building challenges, interactive games, a Q&A session and photo opportunities.

Museum of the Goldfields acting regional manager Marta Perona said the exhibition had been cleverly designed so it appealed to children and adults alike.

“The local community, as well as travellers, have thoroughly enjoyed visiting the exhibition and attending the programming the museum has created around it,” Ms Perona said.

She told the Kalgoorlie Miner the event would be a great opportunity for the community to meet last year’s Lego Masters WA contestants, who won the prestigious national runner-up title.

“There will be complimentary tea, coffee, and milo for everyone — and the Bracklemann food truck will be on-site, so participants can purchase dinner and enjoy it in our courtyard,” she said.

Mr Davies and Mr Chappell said they could not wait to meet everyone at Bricks and Bites on Saturday evening.

“We’ll be there for all the brick-tastic fun — and would be stoked to see Lego enthusiasts of all ages there,” they said.

The exhibition is set to close on August 14 at 3pm.
